Podcasts not updating itunes
For me, the app's serviceability makes it all the more maddening. I am battling to stay below my data cap each month, while also attempting to avoid seeing the "Storage almost full" warning on my i Phone. The Podcasts app offers little help on either front because of how poorly it manages downloads.my podcast https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/new-church-eco-presbyterian/id638268733? The server hosting your cover art image must allow HTTP head requests for i TS to be able to automatically update your cover art. i Tunes may not change the image if it checks your feed and the image URL is the same.Hi one of my feeds won't update manually or otherwise. The feed I've been using updated through yesterday (still a little early for the weekend show to be posted). I know there are new shows but when I refresh the feed it doesn't see them (shows latest episodes as 20 December). That's the same rss feed (downloads segments not episodes) I'm using and the only one I find on beyondpod. Instead, it grays out the episodes I haven't downloaded and makes me hunt through my podcast subscriptions on My Podcasts or the Unplayed list to find the few episodes that aren't grayed out.
Yes, that's the point – I listen on both my i Phone and my Mac, so it would be nice if the syncing actually worked.
I do see the podcast feed with nothing new all week (which probably what i Tunes uses, although they show a different UR).
The podlayer feed I use has been updated through the weekend show yesterday - both in Beyond Pod and in viewing the feed in my desktop browser.
In the i Tunes store, your artwork will show up, but it won't download with the podcast file itself.
We wish this were easier to change, but we've accepted that it isn't.
The podcast is fresh air, which I have used beyondpod to download for years with no problems... I don't think they changed their website for podcasts but how can I verify this? Also I suspect it's happening with other shows too but I am getting downloads for some so the others might be just a Christmas slowdown. You might try deleting the feed and then resubscribing. The feed listed in Beyond Pod and on the program website downloads a whole program in each episode. When I look at the preview of it in beyondpod it also shows the last episode as 22 December (I was wrong when I said 20 Dec it's always been 22) so I don't think deleting will solve problem.
